Bible Verse of the Day
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Women of God Are Living The Unlocked Life

Many Christian women have reached the pinnacle of their careers, achieved much, and are setting an excellent example for all. One such person is Actress, author, and speaker Candace Cameron Bure, who delivered a heartfelt message at the national “America Reads The Bible” event, calling on people to turn to God, humble themselves before Him, and recognize His great love.

Her words came during a week-long initiative in which leaders, celebrities, and everyday Americans publicly read the entire Scriptures aloud, aiming to renew a national focus on biblical truth.

Born Candace Helaine Cameron on April 6, 1976, in Panorama City, California, Bure grew up in a family that valued faith. Her brother Kirk Cameron became a well-known child actor and evangelist, and Candace followed a similar path into entertainment while anchoring her life in Christ.

She is best known as D.J. Tanner on the beloved sitcom Full House, a role she played from age 11 through the show’s eight seasons ending in 1995. After a hiatus to raise her family, she returned to television in guest spots and movies, then starred as Summer van Horne on Make It or Break It. She competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2014, finishing third, and co-hosted The View for two seasons.

Today she is recognized as the queen of Hallmark Christmas movies, having appeared in more than two dozen, including the long-running Aurora Teagarden mystery series where she played the title character. In 2022 she became chief content officer of Great American Media, where she develops faith-friendly romantic comedies and holiday films that emphasize family values and deeper purpose.

Bure’s career has not been without challenges. During the coronavirus pandemic, while filming in Vancouver, Canada, she navigated new protocols—masks, shields, and social distancing—that slowed production but ultimately allowed everyone more time to do their jobs well. She completed her 14th Aurora Teagarden film and began her ninth Hallmark Christmas movie, If I Only Had Christmas, a lighthearted homage to her favorite film, The Wizard of Oz.

“God’s Word is so important because I want to rely on God’s truth and not the things that are swirling around in my head,” she explained. Scripture repeatedly reminds believers not to worry, because God knows every detail of our lives—from the number of hairs on our heads to the needs of the sparrows—and He promises to provide. Bure admits she needs these reminders daily, as anxious thoughts can easily consume us.

She also guards her heart in the social-media age by taking intentional breaks, especially during holidays with her family, stepping away from highlight reels and endless news cycles that breed comparison and despair. “You really need to do that and remove yourself from it, otherwise you just get so sucked in,” she says. When negativity arises, she chooses to focus on what brings joy, deletes and blocks what does not, and remembers that not everyone will like her—and that’s okay.

Whether partnering with the Salvation Army for back-to-school giveaways or producing content at Great American Media that honors traditional marriage and faith without alienating others, she lives openly for Christ. “I know I am the daughter of God,” she says simply. “It is the foundation of who I am.” This foundation does not mean she never questions or struggles—only that she trusts the One who is God and who never makes mistakes.

Bure’s story illustrates a timeless truth: putting God first transforms ordinary days into a life worth living. In Hollywood’s fast-paced, often self-focused world, her example shows that humility before the Lord brings peace, purpose, and genuine joy.
